A crucial stage in our project at Ben Narnain will be to fly 250 tonnes of materials to site. But before we fly, we have to 'bag' the block stone from neighbouring boulder fields, and it is no mean feat. All the bags have to be filled by hand and this involves moving the stones several times to get them in the helibag. The stone range in weight from 25kg to 250kg so it is ridiculously hard work and our team were feeling the pace afterwards. ( There was also a walkin of over an hour before we even got to work!)

If ever a week sums up Scotland's fickle weather then this was it. Heatwave at the start of the stint, wintry showers with gales at the end. We have just started our latest project for our client Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland as part of The Mountains and the People project taking place over both national parks in Scotland. This is a large challenging project at Ben Narnain that will involve stone pitching, drainage, surfaced path, and landscaping.

A good spell of weather saw our stint come to an end, and also saw the start of sunny May.! We have been working on the Ben Nevis path for the last few stints , building new anchor bars, pitching, cross drains, ditching, and blocking desire lines and landscaping. This work has been for our client the Nevis Landscape Partnership.
